Jordan gets a girl pregnant all american

Wrapping up long-standing arcs while laying the foundation for completely new conflicts ahead, it allows the series to go out on its highest note. Liberties like guaranteed future seasons give shows opportunities to take chances, and enhance their finales for extra dramatic effect. Being greenlit for Season 3 allows All American to serve hefty cliffhangers, knowing it will eventually provide payoffs. Instead, it picks and chooses which characters should be left dangling on the metaphysical cliff, while providing softer finishes for others. Theatrics are always entertaining, but sometimes a character has earned a break from the heaviness. All American is smart enough to recognize those cues.

All American Review: Decisions (Season 2 Episode 16)

Layla and Coop have faced an endless amount of adversity on All American this season, so gifting them quiet endings feels well earned and appreciated.

Coop has constantly fought to stay alive, and Layla has been haunted by her own inner demons. Billy also earns his moment of triumph, after displaying such immense growth throughout the season. The character may be gone, but his essence lives on within All American. This could very easily be purposeful. Someone has to suffer, and suffer they do. Spencer and Olivia are both facing potentially rocky roads ahead in the coming season.

How deep those conflicts will run is hard to tell. Slip-ups are both possible and common. Allowing Olivia to make flawed and regressive steps in her recovery only makes her more relatable, and realistic.

Spencer James is a phenomenal protagonist, but his persistent desire to always save the day works as an underlying character flaw that has yet to be addressed. At least Spencer and Olivia will have each other during the long, confusing summer, while everyone else is away. It will just be the two of them, facing tribulations head-on, together. As in, no one else will be around. Those who deserve happy endings get them, those who need conflict find it, and new villains plant controversial seeds for an undoubtedly outstanding third season.

You know what? So much goes on in this episode and everyone is feeling the pain. Coleman sudden departure at the end of Episode 4. Man, once again, Daniel Ezra gives a top-notch performance. Give him all the awards, please. He crushes your soul with all the rawness and realness Spencer exhibits. I knew they would have him spiralling again because, as you may have noticed, he has a strong personality. He resorts to anger and confusion and, sometimes, like during that awkward dinner with that booster, a bad mouth.

All American Review: Decisions (Season 2 Episode 16)

He is Beverly Hills High School 's quarterback and Coach Billy Baker's son, whose world is thrown off its axis when Spencer joins the football team and his family. Jordan can't stand by while Spencer takes his father's attention, especially when that's the one thing he's always trying to get. As time passes, he and Spencer are like brothers. Turns out, Jordan, is Coach Baker's son.

Overall, it ultimately achieves what a midseason is meant to, setting things in motion for the rest of the season. Every character is headed for new chapters when All American returns on January 20th, and no new chapter is more surprising than that of Spencer James.
